Halloween is just a little over week away, and if you're on the lookout for a kickin' old-school costume for that party you're throwing (or attending, or if you simply want to dress up to mark the occasion!), you might want to consider these worn by merry Halloween revelers from the '70s
Between 1974 and 1978, New York-based photographer Larry Racioppo went around the streets to capture black and white photographs of youngsters running around in their Halloween costumes, bags of collected treats in hand. In these photographs, kids in costumes ranging from the adorable to the downright weird and macabre gamely posed for the photographer en route to their next trick-or-treating destination. In 1980, Scribner’s published Racioppo’s photographs in the aptly-titled book, Halloween.
