Idle Quarters - solo exhibition by Sandy McLea

We are pleased to announce our first solo exhibition by talented Cape Town photographer Sandy Mclea.

"Idle Quarters" opens at Exposure Gallery Cape Town on Wednesday 22nd October for Month Of Photography.

We have had an association with Sandy since 2008 and he is one of our favourite photographers.

The exhibition holds many surprises - be sure not to miss it!

Sandy McLea is a fine art photographer with a alternative take on the medium from the capture  to the final production of an image. His understanding and will to display his  subject matter stretches beyond a single view or moment that is traditional to photographic medium, he sees his subjects not as a captured moment from one vantage point but as a time frame that extends beyond multiple moments of time and space. His approach to catch a extra dimension of a subject whether it's physical space, time  or a meaning draws his executions to alternative methods of creating an images. His works have  a definite personal style from montage, panoramic, mixed media to his three dimensional relief paper tolls.
